Leslie W. Brettman Jr., 67, of River Forest died on Dec. 28, 2018. A graduate of Fenwick High School and the University of Southern Mississippi, he was on Dean's list and graduated with a degree in Criminal Justice.

Ralph Kinzel, 72, an Oak Park resident, died peacefully on Dec. 24, 2018 after suffering from a number of illnesses for many years.

Margaret (Peg) Puccini (nee Bailey), 75, a longtime resident of Oak Park, died on Dec. 15, 2018 in Pineville, North Carolina where she had resided for the last three years.

Mildred R. Bentley, 97, died on Dec. 17, 2018. Born on Sept. 9, 1921, she was raised in Louisville, Kentucky. In 1968 she moved to Chicago to be close to her daughter, and in 1980 she moved in with her daughter, son-in-law and their two children in Oak Park. At that time she was a live-in companion, coming home only on the weekends.
Betty M. Piper, 92, of Oak Park, formerly of Westchester, died on Dec. 27, 2018. Born on June 29, 1926, she was a master seamstress and quilter and worked for many years for the Singer Sewing Machine Co. and later JoAnn Fabrics in the Chicago area.

Herman Daniel Ziebell, 64, a lifelong resident of Forest Park has died. He was the son of the late Edwin and the late Mary; the grandson and namesake of the late Lt. Herman W. Ziebell, of the Forest Park Police Department, and the late Bernice Ziebell; the brother of Mary Catherine (Philip) Schuster and Gerald Ziebell; uncle of Sarah Grace Schuster, "Godchild" Kristina and Nicholas Ziebell; cousin of Kathy Bailey Kelly and many others; and a friend to many.
Marilyn Elizabeth McAulay, 90, of Elmwood Park, died on Dec. 18, 2018. Born on April 3, 1928, she was co-founder of the Elmwood Park Civic Chorus. Active in the Mills Belles and Beaux and MacDowell Artists Association. Marilyn was a member of First United Church of Oak Park.
Colleen Winter, nee Solon, 76, of Sugar Grove, formerly of Oak Park, died on Nov. 20, 2018. She will forever be remembered for her kind heart and beautiful smile.
