After 25 years of coaching at Oak Park and River Forest High School and 12 years as the varsity basketball head coach at the school, Matt Maloney has stepped down, effective immediately, from his position. OPRF sent an email out informing the public of his decision on May 6.

After graduating from Fenwick in the mid-90s, Chicago sports journalist Maggie Hendricks has gone on to do amazing work for publications like Yahoo! Sports, The Athletic, theScore and USA Today. She won a Gracie Award for the show she co-hosts called The Julie and Maggie Show and has interviewed some of the greatest athletes of all-time.

After rising to the top .005 percent in North America for League of Legends players, OPRF senior Drew Neiburger has accepted an offer to be a part of Illinois State University's League of Legends eSports team.

On April 21, the IHSA decided to cancel the spring sports season, prematurely ending the high school careers of senior athletes in the area. Melvin Tate and James Kay caught up with some of those athletes from OPRF, Fenwick and Trinity to see how they are dealing with the lost season. Here's what they had to say.

Despite the disappointment of not getting to play out the spring, the team is staying united through, what head coach Joe Parenti is calling, the "OPRF Huskies Baseball Movie Night Series." Parenti has browsed through YouTube and found old footage of previous state championship games the program has played in over the years.
