It's been a couple of months since Oak Park's sole robot manufacturing business set up shop in the Oak Park Arts District, 224 Harrison St., and the best part so far – the smell of hot apple pies baking in the oven.

Thousands of women from the western suburbs rallied in Washington D.C. and downtown Chicago on Saturday, with 750,000 demonstrators estimated between the two cities.

One of the Chicagoland Nasty Women's buses got a flat tire at about 8:30 a.m. about 65 miles outside of Washington D.C. for the Women's March on Washington. Small groups began calling Uber and Lyft drivers to transport them the rest of the way. One Uber van cost $112.

There were no serious injuries reported in an automobile accident at Oak Park Avenue and Lake Street Monday morning that sent one car onto the sidewalk in front of Winberie's restaurant where it nearly collided with the front door of the establishment.
